THE timeline of any DC superhero movie can be tricky when you have main characters that are immortal or come from different planets.
This is a list for those that wish to watch the movies as they unfolded in chronological order from past to present. Contains spoilers.

Princess Diana (Gal Gadot), an all-female Amazonian has been protected behind magical barriers all her life, but things take a drastic change when an American spy fleeing the Nazis crash onto her shore.
She and the spy make it their mission to uncover and end the evil plot to make the war worse.
She decides to embrace her destiny as an immortal hero and ventures into the world of men to stop Ares, the god of war, from destroying mankind.
2. Wonder Woman 1984
Released: 2020
Princess Diana manages to find a balance between her human life as a museum curator and her identity as the hero Wonder Woman.
But in 1980, Diana faces Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) and the destructive power of humanity’s own desires.
She must face challenges and temptations as she overcomes her own test in order to unite humanity to defeat the threat.

3. Man of Steel
Released: 2013
The movie follows the destruction of Krypton and Clark Kent’s (Cooper Timberline) boyhood up to his time working as a reporter at the daily planet, where he learned to hide is powers.
Everything changes when General Zod and the last Kryptonians invade earth and develop superpowers of their own.
Superman manages to defeat them and decides to fully embrace his own destiny as a protector of mankind.
4. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Released: 2016
Personalities clash with Batman following a dark path which leads him to grow wary of Superman’s power.
Meanwhile, Lex Luthor plots to turn the world against Superman.
These plans create a monstrosity that can only be taken down when the two heros stop fighting against each other and decide to work together.
5. Suicide Squad
Released: 2016
Intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) puts together a team of dangerous criminals to battle an ancient magical threat.
The team includes members like Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and Deadshot (Will Smith), battle evil forces, face off against The Joker (Jared Leto).
The threat is eventually sealed away with only a few of the squad left alive.
6. Justice League
Released: 2017
An ancient and terrible enemy is returning to destroy earth.
Batman (Ben Affleck) manages to gather a team together of super powered individuals to help discover the truth and prevent the enemy from succeeding.
Their battles eventually lead to a desperate attempt to revive Superman (Henry Cavill).
7. Zack Snyder’s Justice League
Released: 2021
If Justice League wasn’t enough and you want more detail on every extra scene there is possible, then this four-hour-long cohesive version is for you.
This version is jammed packed with extra long scenes, new CGI, and altered details that makes the whole plot feel more fleshed out.
The characters are also given more time to feel human as much as they do hero.
8. Aquaman
Released: 2018
Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the son of a lighthouse keeper and an Atlantean princess has struggled to find his place in the two different worlds.
But there’s an evil churning in Atlantis that wants to bring a new age of domination and forces Arthur to make a decision on what kingdom he will save.
Although the movie covers many parts of Aquaman’s life, the main plot appears to be set after he has already made contact with the Justice League.
9. Shazam!
Released: 2019
Billy Batson is granted the ability to transform into the adult superhero known as Shazam (Zachary Levi) by an ancient wizard.
But now he must learn how to use his powers while he gets use to his new foster family.
With plenty of practice he is ready to face Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong), who has been possessed by the Seven Deadly Sins.
10. Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey
Released: 2020
Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) has left the Joker and begins to seek a life of her own.
But crime boss Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) make life extremely dangerous for her.
In order to survive, she teams up with the Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett), and a detective, Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez).
11. The Suicide Squad
Released: 2021
This is the second Suicide Squad which is a minor reboot of the concept.
This time Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) is joined by team members like Peacemaker (John Cena), King Shark (voiced by Sylvester Stallone), and Bloodsport (Idris Elba) to enter the island of Corto Maltese and take down an alien experiment.
Despite some detours and fights against Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), they manage to succeed – with even some still alive.
