HOME Alone is still one of the most popular movies families gather around to watch over the Christmas holidays.

But where was this iconic franchise filmed and where can we find Kevin McCallister’s house? Here’s what we know.

Where were Macaulay Culkin’s Home Alone movies filmed?

The plot of the story sees the eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin) get accidentally left behind by her parents who are flying to Paris for a Christmas vacation.

Some scenes were shot in a three-story family home in the village of Winnetka.

For those wanting a literal address to the famous house, it was at 671 Lincoln Avenue.

As for the church scenes, those were captured at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park, Illinois.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

The second movie of the franchise came two years after the first one’s release.

This time the McCallisters were travelling to Florida as a family, but Kevin mistakenly took the wrong plane and ended up in New York City.

The filming locations in Illinois were Winnetka and Evanston.

Other places included The O’Hare International Airport in Chicago and, of course, New York City.

Home Alone 3, 4 and 5

These movies, although a part of the same franchise, did not star Macaulay Culkin.

Original plans for Home Alone 3 was to see Macaulay return as a teenage Kevin, but that didn’t happen after the actor quit acting in 1994.

The filming locations for these were Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Evanston, Illinois.

Home Alone 4 and Home Alone 5 were television movies that were filmed in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
