We Can Be Heroes will arrive on Netflix on New Years Day in 2021.

Netflix add their new drops at 8am, so you’ll be able to kick off January 1 with a film.

What is We Can Be Heroes about?

The action comedy is a superhero film, as suggested by the title.

The movie’s description on IMDb reads: “When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.”

It’s a stand-alone sequel to 2005 movie The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl In 3-D, which means you don’t need to have seen that film to enjoy We Can Be Heroes despite it being anchored in the same universe.

However, fans of The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl will undoubtedly be excited for this stand-alone sequel.

Priyanka Chopra tops the all-star adult cast (acting alongside the child actors) as she plays Ms Granada.
